Who we are
FastTrack GP was built on a simple idea: when you need to see a doctor, you shouldn't have to wait three weeks, join a subscription, or register with yet another practice. You should be able to book a private GP today — by video or at a local clinic — and get the care you came for.
We're part of Mayfield Clinic, a UK private healthcare group with clinics across England. Our GPs work across both NHS and private settings, and every consultation follows the same clinical standards you'd expect from your NHS surgery — just without the wait.
How we're different
Private GP in the UK has historically meant either a luxury subscription model or a patchwork of disconnected video-only services. We're neither. We built FastTrack GP around four principles:
Same-day access
The average NHS GP wait is over two weeks. We offer same-day slots for non-urgent private care.
Hybrid care
Start with a 15-minute video call of if you need an in-person exam, book into a clinic — usually the same day.
Transparent pricing
£125 consultations. Tests and treatment priced openly. No subscription, no "introductory" pricing, no surprise fees at checkout.
No registration friction
You don't need to "join" us. Book a slot, share a few details, see a GP. If you come back, we'll remember you. If you don't, that's fine too.
Clinical standards
Private care that isn't clinically rigorous isn't care. Every aspect of how we practise — who we hire, how we make clinical decisions, what guidance we follow — is held to the same standards as NHS general practice.
GMC registration
Every doctor on FastTrack GP holds current registration with the General Medical Council, with a license to practise in the UK. You can verify any of our clinicians on the GMC's public register using the registration number listed on their profile page.
Treatment standards
We follow NICE guidelines, the British National Formulary (BNF), and UK medicines law. We don't supply controlled drugs, and our clinicians will decline any treatment request that isn't clinically appropriate — even if it's inconvenient for the patient.
Regulation & safety
We're regulated by the organisations that hold all UK healthcare providers accountable.
- Care Quality Commission
- FastTrack GP clinics are registered and inspected by the CQC. Our current provider ID and inspection reports are listed on our CQC registration page.
- Information Commissioner's Office
- Registered data controller. All medical data is held under UK GDPR, encrypted in transit and at rest. See our privacy policy for specifics.
- General Medical Council
- All clinicians hold current GMC registration with a license to practise. Verifiable on the public register.
- Safeguarding
- We follow NHS safeguarding frameworks for children and vulnerable adults. Every clinician completes annual safeguarding training to Level 3.
Who we're for
FastTrack GP is designed for people who need timely, non-urgent private care — and who value clear clinical standards over marketing claims. Typical patients include:
- Working professionals who can't afford a 3-week wait for a UTI, chest infection, or skin concern.
- Travellers needing pre-trip vaccinations, travel advice, or a sick note without losing a day to NHS 111 hold music.
- Parents managing childhood illness who want a GP's judgement — not A&E — on whether something needs a closer look.
- People between NHS appointments who want a second opinion, an ongoing medication request assessed, or a specialist referral moved along.
We're not a replacement for registering with an NHS GP — and we'll tell you plainly if the care you need is better delivered on the NHS, in A&E, or by a specialist you don't need us to refer you to.
