Who you’ll see in Chichester
About uti treatment
In Chichester, seeing a GP — video or in person — means a review of your symptoms and history to get a clear diagnosis. Book promptly if symptoms have lasted over two days, there's pain in your back or side, a fever above 38°C, blood in your urine, or recurring UTIs more than twice a year. Where antibiotics are clinically indicated, treatment is agreed with you the same day. Full detail is on /conditions/uti/.
About UTIs
UTIs — urinary tract infections — are bacterial infections of the bladder, urethra, or less often the kidneys. They typically cause burning when you urinate, needing to go more often or urgently, cloudy or strong-smelling urine, and lower abdominal discomfort. Bladder infections are usually straightforward to treat, while kidney infections need more urgent attention.
