Who you’ll see in Wokingham
About sinusitis
A GP in Wokingham reviews your symptoms and how long you've had them, by video or in clinic, to judge whether sinusitis is likely viral or bacterial. Book if it's been more than 10 days without improvement, there's severe facial or eye pain, a high temperature, or symptoms flare up again after settling. Treatment — antibiotics or a steroid spray where appropriate — is agreed with you that day. See /conditions/sinusitis/ for the full picture.
About sinusitis
Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinuses, the air-filled spaces behind the nose, cheeks and forehead, often following a cold or viral infection. Symptoms include facial pain or pressure, a blocked or runny nose, reduced sense of smell, and sometimes a cough that's worse at night. Most cases are viral and settle within two to three weeks without antibiotics, though bacterial sinusitis can need treatment if it persists.
